What is included in the fees?
Fees are a flat rate per person and include ALL programming, food and lodging. An additional charge of $5 per person applies when doing tie-dye as an activity or class.
It is expected and required that schools provide at least one cabin leader for each cabin of students.
For example: In a cabin with 10 beds the ratio would be 1 leader for 9 students or with 12 beds 1 leader for 11 students. The number of beds available in each cabin is a fixed number set by state law. Cabin leaders will be charged at the fee rate of 50% of the student rate in order to offset the expenses of meals and services provided to them.
Administrative and Teaching Staff stay at no expense charged to the School(s) ($0.00).
We need School Staff to be available in assisting Heartland O.E. Staff with any discipline or homesickness issues that students may experience during their stay. There is no expectation for School Staff to be responsible for any aspect of our programming. We desire for School Staff to experience the environmental science adventure with their students at camp. School Staff numbers and ratios will be determined by a mutual agreement for the benefit of our student guests.
